What’s Next for the US Labor Market? Nela Richardson Chief Economist, ADP |
Nela will discuss recent trends in the labor market and worker sentiment. |
Infinite Influence: The New Leadership Style Required for Attracting, Retaining, and Engaging Great Employees in Today’s World |
Losing great employees may be your greatest competitive threat. Attracting, effectively engaging, and retaining ecstatic employees can be your greatest advantage. Differentiate yourself from those poaching your best employees by strategically and authentically aligning your leadership with the post-pandemic workforce. This is not an option going forward, it’s a fundamental requirement for your team’s success. The reality is that the future of work is not just tech and artificial intelligence. Instead, the leaders who can connect, engage, and Infinitely Influence today’s workforce will have the organizations that lead us into the future. A one-size-fits-all leadership approach is a tactic of the past that doesn’t work best anymore. Infinite Influence, a new leadership and culture strategy, focuses all communication, decision-making, and resources – emotional, financial, and otherwise – on actions and benefits that create a high-performing, irresistible workplace that today’s best employees require. |
Preparing for a Focus on Process and Efficiency |
The last couple of years has pushed banks in a way that challenges how bankers serve customers—both internal and external. It’s time to shift the focus to process efficiency and effectiveness throughout the bank. Are areas such as loan operations and deposit operations designed to best serve lenders and customer-facing staff? Is the organization structured to most effectively serve the customer in a way that can be profitable for the bank? Many staff roles will need to be repurposed and workflows will need to be reengineered. This session will cover the main areas where the bank can focus in order to be a well-oiled customer. |
Managing Loan Pricing in Changing Rates: How to Stay Abreast and Profitable as Markets Adjust |
During this session, we will outline the best practices for determining profitability in loan pricing and present a concrete decision-making process to help ensure a more proactive and profitable margin under changing market rates. |
Interest Rate Swaps: Avoid Being Exposed When the Tide Goes Out |
With the 2020 liquidity wave receding, inflation and a vigilant Fed have led to interest rate volatility and uncertainty not seen since the early 1980s. This session provides examples of banks utilizing hedging tools to confidently navigate rising funding costs, AOCI losses and the potential for a downward pivot; thereby avoiding “swimming unprepared.” |
What the Board Needs to Know in 2023 |
Gain practical insight on what CEOs and directors need to know in 2023 and beyond. Topics include M&A, Fintech, Balance Sheet management, corporate governance, the regulatory environment and more. Chris Kochard, an investment banker from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, and Seth Winter, an attorney from Troutman Pepper, will discuss the most important topics for CEOs and bank directors in 2023. |
Tuesday, June 27th | |
---|---|
Washington 2023: Politics and Partisanship as Related to the Banking Industry |
Alex Vogel, CEO of Vogel Group and a top-rated bipartisan lobbyist and media commentator, will walk participants through an entertaining and data backed explanation of what is driving policymakers, politicians and regulators during a chaotic and disruptive time in politics and banking and help them be better equipped to understand, avoid, and react to political and policy volatility. |
Decision-Making to Win at the Game of Life |
When faced with tough decisions, sometimes it’s difficult to choose the right course. You can be overcome by emotion or communicate your intentions poorly, resulting in a decision you might regret. How can you make better decisions like a winner? It turns out that the habit of good decision-making—and understanding its consequences—are skills that can be developed. In this entertaining talk, 4-time Olympian Chaunté uses stories from her own experiences as an athlete and breast cancer survivor, engaging activities, and empowering exercises to equip your audience with an arsenal of tools to support impeccable decision-making. |
