As a part of our 2019-2021 VBA Strategic Plan, the VBA created
the goal of developing recommendations for how VBA can
assist members in building a more diverse future leadership. The
below efforts are a summary of the initiatives we have since
started in this space, as well as resources for banks as they
begin or further their diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)
programs and efforts at their own organizations.
This list highlights important initiatives and resources but is
not comprehensive of VBA efforts in the DEI space.
This speaker series is brought to you by five states (DE, MD, PA,
VA and WV).
Each month, from July-December, registrants will receive a link
to log in to a virtual Zoom webinar session with nationally
recognized speakers providing relevant and timely content geared
specifically to bank CEOs and other senior leaders.
The series will take place once a month on the following dates.
Each event will be at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom.
The VBA encourages retired banking executives to remain connected
and engaged in the banking industry. The experience and expertise
retired Virginia bankers bring to the Association allows for a
meaningful way to serve the Association as well as providing a
venue to network with other retirees and current members.
The Emerging Bank Leaders (EBL) is a group that connects
Virginia’s emerging bank leaders to engage them in the future of
the banking industry. More than 500 bankers are members of the
EBL, which is split into six regions within the state.
This conference is designed for emerging banking leaders and members of the Virginia Bankers Association Emerging Bank Leaders (EBL) group. This conference will give Emerging Bank Leaders the opportunity to share ideas and network with peers from across the state. You do not have to be an EBL member to attend.
