Join bankers from across the Commonwealth for VBA Banker Day, our premier grassroots advocacy event at the Virginia General Assembly.
This annual event gives you the opportunity to meet directly with your state delegates and senators, share your bank’s story, and discuss the issues affecting your customers, communities, and the banking industry.
As policymakers consider legislation that impacts your bank and the customers you serve, your voice and firsthand experiences help inform the decisions made in Richmond. Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a seasoned advocate, Banker Day is your chance to build relationships, provide valuable industry perspective, and help shape public policy.

Agenda
The morning events will take place at the Richmond Marriott Downtown before bankers walk to the General Assembly building (201 N 9th St).
- 7:30 – 8:00 am – Registration & Continental Breakfast
- 8:00 a.m. – Breakfast Program, Including Session Preview and VBA Issues & Logistics Briefing
- Keynote Speaker to Be Announced!
- 9:00 – 11:30 am – Legislative Visits at the General Assembly Building

CANCELLATION POLICY
Registrations are transferable but any cancellations must be received by January 7, 2027 to receive a refund. Cancellations received after that date will not receive a refund.

Important Reminders for Planning Your Banker Day
A representative from your bank is responsible for setting meetings with the local legislators you would like to meet with during Banker Day. We recommend reaching out to your legislators at their district offices or via email before the end of the year to request a meeting.
You can find the names of your state legislators to help determine who to schedule your visits with here. The VBA staff is also able to assist in connecting you with other local bankers attending Banker Day, to consolidate meetings for the legislators who have multiple groups of bankers attending the event.
