This three-part virtual leadership series was designed to equip bankers with the essential skills and mindsets needed to lead effectively in today’s dynamic environment. Through interactive discussions, self-reflection, and applied learning, participants will explore a variety of topics, including trust, values based conversations and conflict as a catalyst.

Virtual Series Information

Session 1
Trust | October 10, 2025

One of the killers of team performance and relationships is a lack of trust. During this session, participants will identify what influences their level of trust in others and how to build and strengthen relationships.

Session 2
Values Based Conversations | November 7, 2025

Participants will learn to lead and develop others by being curious, listening intently, connecting and challenging others to “go below the waterline”.

Session 3
Conflict as a catalyst | December 5, 2025

Explore how to capture the best of differing perspectives and manage conflict in a way that is catalytic by harnessing passion and energy to move a team forward.

Speaker Information

Dontrese Brown is a strategic leader and masterful storyteller who brings a unique blend of business acumen, creative vision, and deep commitment to leadership development to his work with InnerWill. With extensive experience navigating transformational change, he helps leaders and teams drive meaningful impact through empathy, collaboration, and innovation. A dynamic communicator, Dontrese also creates spaces where participants can explore and create their best leadership in a safe and supportive environment.

Dontrese is the co-founder of Hidden in Plain Site, a virtual reality experience that brings to life overlooked stories of the Black experience in American history. Heled the historic movement to rename the Boulevard to Arthur Ashe Boulevard for Richmond, VA, and spearheaded the vision to make Cristo Rey Richmond High School a reality for under-served youth in the Richmond community. He has served on several nonprofit boards and is a 2024 RVA Community Maker Honoree.

Dontrese holds degrees in graphic design from Georgetown College (B.F.A.),Morehead State University (M.A.), and Savannah College of Art & Design (M.F.A.).
