Jennifer Burke is a partner in Crowe’s Financial Services Risk practice and has more than 30 years of experience serving financial services clients, including 25 years with Crowe.  Jennifer leads projects at strategic multi-billion-dollar financial institutions, providing internal audit, compliance, loan review, Sarbanes Oxley and enterprise risk management (ERM) services. 

She serves on advisory boards for the University of Kentucky Gatton School of Business, IIA National Financial Services Group, and the North Carolina State ERM Initiative.  Jennifer is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker on banking issues, internal auditing, and ERM.  She is a member of the faculty of Southwest Graduate School of Banking Foundation at Southern Methodist University.

Jennifer is a CPA, Certified Risk Professional, Certified Financial Specialist and an ERM Fellow at NC State.  Prior to joining Crowe, she served as SVP and CAE for a multi-billion 10-bank holding and trust company.  

Layne McGuire is a managing director at Crowe LLP.  Layne focuses on internal audit and risk management for community and regional banks. She frequently speaks at industry events and develops training on internal audit, risk management, and other ,topics of interest to financial institutions. She has deep experience in internal control design and testing as well as SOX and FDICIA.

Stacia Schacter is a senior manager in the internal audit practice at Crowe LLP. Stacia has provided risk-based consulting services to financial service organizations ranging in size from community retail banks to multibillion dollar multinational financial services clients, including foreign-owned agencies.

Stacia has a background in financial statement evaluation of public and nonpublic clients with industry expertise in loan loss allowance evaluation, asset and liability management and interest rate risk, enterprise risk management, loan performance review, trade finance, foreign-owned banking, Sarbanes-Oxley and the COSO internal control assessment.

Sarah Schwartz is a manager with Crowe’s Internal Audit Operational Consulting Group in Washington, D.C. responsible for delivering internal controls-related consulting services as part of co-sourced and out-sourced internal audit engagements. Her current industry focus at Crowe has been in the banking and financial services industries.
Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with minors in both Accounting and Business Administration, from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Sarah specializes in risk-based internal audit assessments for a range of financial institutions nationwide. Sarah’s primary expertise is in in retail banking operations, commercial and retail lending and SOx Compliance, with additional experience in asset and liability management, including reviews of interest rate risk and liquidity risk. Sarah regularly conducts meetings with client management to assess controls, identify audit findings, and provide value-adding solutions and recommendations.
